Overview
Northlane Capital Partners (NCP) is a lower middle market focused private equity firm that invests in growing, highly profitable companies throughout North America. Based outside of Washington, D.C. in Bethesda, MD, the firm’s founding partners have worked together since 2003, having formed the Bethesda-based mid-market buyout team at American Capital before spinning out as NCP in January 2017. NCP has deployed over $1.6 billion in equity capital and are investing from its second fund.
NCP makes control investments in the business services and healthcare sectors. The firm looks to partner with excellent management teams running market-leading companies in high-growth niches. In addition to these characteristics, the firm targets companies that occupy defensible market positions, generate high EBITDA and free cash flow margins, and are either recession resistant or have demonstrated the ability to recover rapidly through the business cycle.
